When I was small and I thought who I will be when I grow up I was be inspired by one Latvian ceramicist and wanted to become a potter, but life took me in another direction. Now life has made a circle, and I have become a potter. At this moment in my life I feel like I’m in my place! In the process of creation I have discovered that I like experimenting. More about everything I want to learn about the ancient art of pottery – methods of creation, burning and glazing.

No 9. novembra Dobeles novada muzejā apskatāma Hildas Vīkas gleznu izstāde “Pie loga” .
Atzīmējot mākslinieces 125.jubileju Dobeles novada muzejā ir apskatāma gleznu izstāde “Pie loga”. Izstādei ir izvēlētas gleznas no muzeja krājuma, kuras vieno viens no mākslinieces iecienītākajiem motīviem – logs.
Izstādi papildina Hildas Vīkas fotogrāfijas un 19.gs. 30. – 50.gadu Bīdermeijera stila mēbeles, kas ir tā laika Latvijas teritorijas meistara darinājums un reiz ir piederējušas Hildai Vīkai un viņas vīram, rakstniekam Viktoram Eglītim.
Izstāde apskatāma līdz 2023.gada 25.februārim.

26.maijā – skolu diena kopā ar “Zaļo jostu”, savukārt, 27. maijā – jo īpaši gaidīsim ģimenes, lai kopīgi izpētītu meža audzēšanas ciklu no sēkliņas līdz koka mājai, kā arī izzinātu mācību un karjeras iespējas meža nozarē vairāk nekā 80 meža izziņas pieturās! Atbilstoši centrālajai tēmai šogad īpaši tiks pievērsta uzmanība klimata jautājumiem – noskaidrosim, kāda ir koksnes loma oglekļa piesaistē un skābekļa ražošanā, un kā, būvējot no koka, varam mazināt klimata pārmaiņas.
Pasākumu apmeklētājus izklaidēs īpašie muzikālie viesi – piektdien, 26. maijā uzstāsies grupa “Citi Zēni”, savukārt, sestdien – ģimeņu dienu ieskandinās “Bermudu Divstūris”. Dalība pasākumā ir bez maksas.

Višķi Crafts Village is the workplace of Valdis Grebežs – a unique craftsman because he is active in several fields. He creates three-dimensional ceramic panels, wooden sculptures, works of plastic arts, and he also works with glass, wicker, stone and other materials.
